Dani's Daily News!
Dani: Welcome to Dani’s Daily News in the morning, we are here with Shawn, a Midway snurbird baseball player, and we are going to ask him some questions on his team winning 2010 state amateur baseball tournament.
Dani: Good Morning Shawn, how are you doing today?
Shawn: Good Morning Dani! I’m doing great, how about you?
Dani: Well that’s good! I'm great! So…tell me about your self shawn…
Shawn: I’m on a baseball team named the midway snurdbirds in fact. We won the state championship last week!
Dani: That is great Shawn!
Shawn: Yes it is, I just can’t believe how far we have gotten this year.
Dani: Me neither, Shawn what was the score of the game in the end?
Shawn: 5-4
Dani: Wow really! That was a pretty close game!
Shawn: Yes it was, it went all the way into the fourteenth inning!
Dani: Wow! I can’t believe it! You must have been pretty tired out after that!
Shawn: Yeah we were, But also pretty excited when the game was over!
Dani: So who got the winning point?
Shawn: Brandon Michelson did, the bases were loaded and AJ got the winning hit, almost a grand slam!
Dani: Oh I’m so happy for you guys!
Shawn: Yeah, I owe it all to the team!
Dani: So Shawn, what position did you play in the game?
Shawn: Short stop, and I pitched a little bit too
Dani: Oh really? I thought that you would be pitcher for the whole game?
Shawn: Brad Lusti pitched that game because I was out of innings.
Dani: Oh well you did a great job!
Shawn: Yeah, We tried our hardest!
Dani: What is your outlook on next year?
Shawn: We are going to be undefeated and go back and win the tournament of 2011!
Dani: I would sure hope so! So what did you guys do to celebrate the win of the tournament.
Shawn: We went out to eat at bar & grill and went to a hotel and sat in the hot tub.
Dani: Wow, that sounds like you had loads of fun. But I think we will take a short break, don’t go away!
INTERMITION………………..
Dani: ok, we are back with Shawn the Midway Snurdbrd player!
Shawn: so Dani I have a question for you, are you a snurdbird fan?
Dani: Of course I am! I love the snurdbirds! So why did you decide to join the team?
Shawn: Because I love baseball and my brother has been on this team for many years.
Dani: So when was the last time you guys won state?
Shawn: Quit a few years ago that is why we were so excited that we won this year, and played our hardest.
Dani: Yeah, I am so proud of you guys! So what are your plans for the future, and how long do you think you will be on the team for?
Shawn: For a while, probably about fifteen years, because I am going to join the air force.
Dani: oh your going to join the air force! That’s always a good thing. How long have you planned to do that?
Shawn: Since I was about ten years old, I wanted to join it so I could serve my country and help people in the world.
Dani: That’s good Shawn, I’m glad that you care so much!
Shawn. Yeah, I just try to do what makes people happy.
Dani: Well Shawn it looks like we are running out of time.
Shawn: Yeah, it was nice talking with you Dani.
Dani: It was a pleasure speaking with you too Shawn. See you guys next week on Dani’s Daily News!
